Population and Settlement
Today we started talking about Population and Settlement. We talked about the tremendous growth in population in that past few years. Over 7 billion people are living on the planet right now and is increasing by over 73 million per year. In the next few years the population will still be increasing and we will start to get overcrowded in some part, there wont be enough supply to support all of these people. There is not even enough now to help people in Chad that don't have clean water or shelter. 90% of this population growth takes place in the developing countries of Africa, South and East Asia and Latin America. We also talked about the term Life Expectancy, life expectancy mean the average number of years to be lived by a group of people born in the same year. One thing that surprised me was that the United States is very low in this. People in the United States are dying younger cause of drugs and alcohol, bad diets, no/little exercise.
